Always flashes unbalanced

Unless there are a lot of biscuits in the bowl.it flashes red for unbalanced, which means it is not connected to wifi so does not update you. It even does it when empty. Very unreliable.

Perfect for portion control

A couple weeks in and so far loving it.

Pros; have tried with larger (Hills) and smaller (Fancy Feast) and both have dispensed with no jamming or issues. Can easily track my obese cats intake and with the diet setting effectively limit how much he eats. Setup was relatively simple and the app is fairly straight forward to navigate once you figure out where you need to go.

Cons; the app requires a lot of info (phone number, email etc) to set up. The tags can be a bit finicky with the sensor so sometimes it doesn't pick up which cat is eating and the rings are very flimsy (easily replaced with a normal keyring and it hangs lower so picks up easier). Quite expensive.

Overall totally worth the investment.

Nothing but a struggle

I have had this for a few months now got it in March 2023, the rubber inside that is to help prevent the food getting stuck fell apart but also all the food gets stuck. I do feed Royal canin veterinary dental they are quite big biscuits but I also tried the hypoallergenic biscuits that are small and I had the same problem, the rubber turned gets the biscuits stuck and flicks them it sounds like it really struggles, I wish I took photos but there is some rubber where the food goes down that is supposed to prevent food getting stuck and that fell apart I found it in the bowl. It’s great when it wants to work but I’m constantly having to check if it has. It’s not good for big biscuits but it’s alright for small biscuits but only for a short time. Maybe it’s the food ? But I’m over having to check if my cat has been fed which is a constant daily thing. I got this to help me but find I’m checking the app for continuous problems. I gave 2 stars due to it being alright sometimes with smaller biscuits but again they got stuck for me still

The feeder malfunctions constantly. It puts out way too much food without the cat even activating (or being anywhere near it). The door gets trapped constantly. I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this if you're trying to keep your cats on a diet.

Works pretty well, mobile app is a bit confusing

The feeder works well with the timed feeds.
The mobile app is confusing and takes a while to remember where to find what I want to see (e.g. how much my cat ate each day).
